The National
Floor Safety
Institute was
founded in 1997
as a
not-for-profit
501 (c)(3)
organization
whose mission is
to aid in the
prevention of
slips,
trips-and-falls
through
education,
research, and
standards
development.
The NFSI is led
by a
fifteen-member
Board of
Directors
representing
product
manufacturers,
insurance
underwriters,
trade
associations,
and independent
consultants.Happy
Mat Anti-fatigue
Drainage Series
and Entrance Mat
Series has
passed Phase 2
Testing and
certified as
providing High
Traction.
The mats were
installed in a
commercial
facility for a
period of 30
days, and tested
under NFSI test
method 101-A.
On-site
examination
revealed Static
Coefficient of
Friction (SCOF)
values greater
than 0.6 and
therefore passed
the NFSI Phase 2
level of
certification.
